Rose Witch Apothecary was birthed into existence in 2020, during that strange moment in time when festivals paused, vending life came to a grinding halt, and many of us were forced to sit still long enough to listen to what our souls were whispering.
Founded by moi — hi, I’m Azalyne, merry meet, new friend — Rose Witch Apothecary is the natural outcome of a lifelong love affair with plants, magic, and especially roses.
I’ve grown them in all of my many gardens
(hopefully planting roses again very soon)
I have a knack for making leather & silk roses

I’ve whipped them into the most decadent vanilla rose whipped cream
(swoon worthy)
I’ve spent far too much money on the most divine rose essential oils and absolutes
(the real reason this apothecary exists — so I have an excuse to buy more)
I’ve been known to add rosewater to my coffee
(and vanilla rose whipped cream, obviously)
I always wear rose-colored glasses
(it makes life much more enjoyable)
You will always find me stopping to smell the roses —
my happy place is visiting rose gardens around the country so I can stick my nose into every color and scent imaginable.
(I freaking love them)
And I remain endlessly awestruck by the fact that the rose carries the highest vibrational frequency of all plant healers.
(holy Rose… oh, how I love thee)
So yes — eventually, the Rose Witch (that’s me) found herself standing at the crossroads of craft, ritual, and the wide open road.
With an educational background in herbalism (this life… and a few past ones), it was inevitable that my creations would grow beyond spoiling friends and family. Thus, Rose Witch Apothecary exists to bring intentional, plant-based self-care into everyday life — through handcrafted cold process soaps, divine body care, potion lotions, organic tea blends, ritual candles, anointing perfume oils, and other witchy goods inspired by nature, myth, and the turning of the seasons.
My creations are offerings of devotion, made to bring more magic and beauty into the world. Rooted in reverence, patience, and intention, each formulation is crafted with deep care and love, and continually refined as I grow, learn, and allow the work to evolve.
Each creation is thoughtfully formulated in small batches, blending traditional herbal wisdom with modern safety standards, aromatherapy, and sensory storytelling. Ingredients are chosen not only for how they perform or how they feel on the skin, but for how they support overall health and well-being.
Choosing a clean, non-toxic lifestyle has been a passion of mine ever since becoming a parent to children with sensitivities. What goes on our bodies matters. Always has. Always will.
I also happen to love tigers. On my travels, I met Felix the Tiger at the Nashville Zoo — his home was destroyed by palm oil industry clear-cutting. As much as I loved watching him purr and chatter in his big, fierce-cat way, I would much rather he be home in the jungle than living in a zoo.
Which is why, if you find palm oil in a Rose Witch Apothecary product, it is sustainably sourced. I also use Italian food-grade citric acid that actually comes from fruit (not the synthetic stuff grown on black mold), and organic ingredients whenever possible.
If you ever have a question about an ingredient, just ask. I spend endless hours researching to ensure every product is high-quality, intelligently preserved (this one matters), safe, and good for both you — and Felix.
A Living, Traveling Apothecary
Rose Witch Apothecary is a nomadic, seasonal studio, crafted from a mobile workshop and art space — imagine Baba Yaga’s chicken-leg hut, but on wheels… and roughly 37 feet long. Just teasing. It’s actually known as The Mothership — or Azalyne’s Moving Castle — and it’s a pretty sweet setup.
From this rolling apothecary — and an enchanting boutique booth — my creations come to life at Renaissance Faires, artisan markets, and gatherings across the country.
Following the rhythms of the year (and occasionally wherever the wind blows us), the apothecary moves with the seasons, harvesting inspiration from forests, farms, apiaries, markets, and forgotten roads.
This wandering way of life shapes every collection, grounding each product in a sense of place, time, and intention.
The result is an apothecary that feels alive — rooted in the earth, yet always in motion.

Philosophy

and for those who find beauty in lichen, winged creatures, moonlight, and things made by hand.
