Roots & Wings: A Chakra Guide
Hello, dear one—thank you for wandering into this little corner of mine where I attempt (with love and a bit of reverent mischief) to explain the incredible, alchemical, energetically magnificent system that is your very own Chakra System. Think of it as an internal guidance compass—one that helps you navigate this wild, messy, beautiful human journey.

Many of you ask me where to begin, how it all works, and whether there’s some secret switch to flip. There isn’t. No on/off lever, no elaborate spell required.
All you need is your breath.
Find the earth and ground.
Allow the unique scent of the lovingly crafted Chakra Perfume Oil to anchor this self-care ritual.
Keep breathing.
Close your eyes.
Set an intention.
Speak your mantras aloud.
Visualize each chakra gently coming into balance.
The chakra system is alive—it breathes with you. Each center is like a tiny brain, moving in and out of balance, coherence, and harmony based on what human you is experiencing right now. Exhaustion, joy, grief, creativity—it all tells a story through the body. The chakras are literally responding to the story your body is living in this very moment.
This understanding has been shaped both by ancient chakra wisdom and by modern explorations of heart–brain coherence. Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book Becoming Supernatural and his meditations illuminate how breath, intention, and focused awareness bring the nervous system, the heart, and the energy centers into coherence. Science and mysticism are not at odds here—they are partners in remembrance. I highly recommend all of his books!
This work isn’t about fixing something broken. It’s about attunement, balance, and coherence, and allowing yourself the space to remember your own natural rhythm. As Judith Anodea so beautifully explores in Eastern Body, Western Mind, the chakras are deeply intertwined with emotional development, lived experience, and the way we inhabit our bodies across a lifetime.
If you find yourself standing at the crossroads wondering where to start, I’ll always say this: begin with the Root and tend the Heart.
The Root Chakra anchors you into your glorious body—into safety, gravity, belonging, and the deep yes of being here on this strange and wondrous planet. The Heart is the great harmonizer, the alchemical vessel where coherence is born again and again. When the heart drifts out of balance, the whole system follows—but the heart stays open most easily when we feel safe, calm, and grounded.
Together, Root and Heart form the sacred bridge between earth and spirit, the foundation that allows the rest of the chakras to fall back into their natural dance of equilibrium. As the song I sang to my children goes, “I can give you roots, I can give you wings—only you know when to fly.”
This is the call home—to tend the heart, to ground into these vessels we call bodies, which are truly temples on loan. This is where you decide it is time to spread your wings and fly.

And then there is the place beyond—about sixteen inches above the crown—the Soul Star Chakra. A luminous portal, like a lantern glowing in the dark night. This is the gateway to expanded awareness, the quantum field, the remembering of yourself as stardust in human form. All your multidimensional selves—who you’ve been, who you are, who you’re becoming—exist here.
When we align with the Soul Star—grounded and heart coherent—we call pieces of ourselves back across timelines and dimensions, weaving wholeness where there was once fragmentation. My personal journey with this space grew through heart-coherence meditation practices and the Blessing of the Energy Centers, where science, magic, and manifestation intertwine.
When you approach the Soul Star Chakra grounded and heart coherent, you begin to weave the fabric of the life you dream about living—rather than moving through the motions of the life you were conditioned to live.
This is where life shifts from black and white into Technicolor. Where you suddenly find joy and magic in the simple or mundane. Where scent becomes ritual, and my hand-blended devotional perfume oils move from invitation to invocation. Anointing becomes a quiet act of magic.
These oils aren’t here to perfect you—because you are already whole.
Wear them as ritual.
Breathe them as intention.
Return to your heart center—again and again.
These beautiful perfume oils are a way to anchor intention, deepen daily self-care rituals, and gently bring your entire energetic system back into harmony, as you remember what your body has always known:
that you are loved,
that you are whole,
and that you are always divinely guided by the soul that embodies you.
